Description:

This dataset, titled Bootstrap Model Verification Data, contains the processed numerical data underlying all figures presented in the manuscript "Bootstrap Current Modeling in M3D-C1" by Saurabh Saxena, Nathaniel Ferraro, Mike Martin, Adelle Wright. The data was generated using simulations conducted using the extended-MHD code M3D-C1. These simulations include both tokamak and stellarator configurations, which were simulated with and without bootstrap current models enabled in M3D-C1. The dataset includes data files corresponding to each figure in the manuscript for the following cases, the low aspect ratio "CIRC1" tokamak case and two quasisymmetric stellarator cases (QA_Case1 and QA_Case2), and nonlinear simulations (starting with the QA_Case2 equilibrium) investigating the effects of resistivity scaling. All simulations employed self-consistent bootstrap current models based on generalized and revised Sauter formulations and the isomorphism described by landreman et al. (2022). This deposit is intended to provide full transparency and reproducibility of the figures in the associated publication, and to support further verification, comparison, or reuse in neoclassical transport modeling studies.
