Description:
The Shakespeare and Company Project: Lending Library Members dataset includes information about approximately 5,600 members of Sylvia Beach's Shakespeare and Company lending library.
All data is related to the Shakespeare and Company bookshop and lending library opened and operated by Sylvia Beach in Paris, 1919–1962. Version 1.1 adds 859 addresses and reduces the total number of members from 5726 to 5601 by merging records that belonged to the same member and removing mistaken records. This update includes other corrections, including VIAF links for some members. See ScoData_members_v1.1_changelog.txt for more information.
